Hello! Marti here - with another piece of vintage textile design that feels years ahead of its time.

Designed by the highly-collected Hungarian textile visionary Éva Németh, this massive flatweave rug is an incredibly rare find. Fans of her work know her classic earthy folk art pieces, but this piece belongs to her experimental "Pastel Era," marking a brilliant shift toward dreamy, softer postmodern aesthetics. Because it's masterfully woven with a heavy wool-weft on a cotton warp, I immediately added this to my Multi-Purpose Rugs collection!

Danish Pastel & 80s Soft Postmodern

Instead of stiff, traditional artwork or starkly contrasted graphics, this piece breathes pure calm into a space.
