Vintage Lace Curtain – Large Cream Lace Panel with Fringe

I always had a soft spot for old lace – it reminds me of my grandmother's windows and those slow, sunny summer mornings. When I hung this curtain for the photos, the sun came through and the whole room was full of tiny lace shadows. Pure magic, and a bit of nostalgia too.

This large vintage curtain is made of fine lace – I believe cotton crochet or lace thread – with a lovely pattern of little flowers, diamonds and zigzag bands. On the bottom there is a soft fringe, which gives it a charming, a bit bohemian finish. The exact era is unknown, but it has all the charm of old-time handwork.

The lace lets a lot of light in, but still gives a gentle cover for your window. It looks beautiful in a rustic cottage, farmhouse, shabby chic or boho home – in the living room, bedroom or kitchen. 

How to hang this lace curtain?
- hang it easily with curtain clips (like I did for the photos)
- insert a rod in the wide rod pocket on the top
- or if you like, you can sew a pleat tape on the top

It's also a wonderful decor piece for a romantic vintage themed wedding: as a ceremony backdrop, draped on an arch or used as a table overlay. And of course, it's a real treasure for sewing and craft projects too!
