This beautiful scandinavian style wall hanging tapestry was designed by hungarian textile artist Éva Németh. She designed for Békéscsaba Rug Weaving manufacture (Bekescsaba, Hungary) from the 1960s, where almost a hundred rugweavers would turn her designs into beautiful, one-of-a-kind rugs.

During the decades she developed her unique style that rooted in scandinavian folklore yet not to be confused with it. Frequently used motives of horses, birds, peacocks, flowers and trees marks her attraction to nature. Her style introduced a new, timeless quality in the world of flatwoven rugs (also known as "rölakan' ). Eva Nemeth's rugs and tapestries were exported to Western Europe, scandinavian countries and to the US. These masterpieces are still highly sought after, valuable items.
