General FAQ

Are these items real vintage?

Yes, absolutely!

There are no new items in this shop, only real ol’ stuff. Real vintage wall hangings from 60s and 70s, beautiful mid century home decor items and like.

The majority of my inventory comes from estate sales, straight from the place where the item was made or used in its former life. I love meeting the (previous) owners or their family and listening to the story behind an object – this is the best part of treasure hunting! I’m happy to share the stories, should you be interested!

I occasionaly acquire items from other reputable and reliable local traders.

I like to know what I am selling – let it be a handwoven tapestry or a small furniture from the 60s, so if you have any questions about an item and it’s background, do message me! I’m happy to answer.

Are prices negotiable?

My main selling platform is Etsy. From the prices you see in my Etsy shop a fairly large share goes straight to Etsy CEOs. I’m happy to make private sales outside the platform to keep prices down. Please get in touch for more info! 😉

How do you hang a tapestry?

There are many ways to hang a tapestry, depending on factors like the wall itself, desired look, amount of time you have on hand etc. I collected a few ideas on hanging a tapestry here.

How can I clean my handwoven wool tapestry?

You can find more tips & tricks on cleaning and maintaining the original quality of a handwoven wool tapestry here.

How can I clean my soft moquette tapestry?

Moquette is a soft, woven fabric with short, dense piles. It is similar to velvet. To maintain the original good condition of the tapestry I recommend dry cleaning.

Shipping FAQ

Shipping time

I aim to ship smaller items on the next business day the latest.

In case of larger items (furniture, lamps etc.) I might need 1-2 more days to prepare the parcel.

Packaging

Rule #1: Safety first!

I always pack everything with great care. The majority of the items travel in a sturdy cardboard box. In order to make a step towards a greener future, I often reuse wrapping materials – so please don’t be surprised if your order arrives in a fabric softener cardboard box! 🙂

In case of fragile items I use lots of bubble wrap, styrofoam and double boxes to ensure a safe shipping. I’m not afraid to diy a wooden crate for large / extremely fragile items.

Why do you need my phone number?

In order to ship your order via FedEx or other courier I need to add the addressee’s contact phone number (and e-mail) on the parcel slip – it is mandatory. Adding your phone number to a post parcel is also recommended.

If you prefer not to add your number, that’s not a problem. I can still ship your parcel, via post. Delivery is likely to take a little longer, but you’ll get it for sure.
I do not use your phone number for any other purposes than the above mentioned.
